Your Future RoleBPA is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technologist to join our Edmonton team. In this role, you will contribute to the design and delivery of a wide variety of building projects, working closely with engineers, designers, and project teams throughout all phases of project development.

Responsibilities- Prepare and develop mechanical building systems drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Assist engineers and project managers with the design of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other building mechanical systems.
- Produce design documentation, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Coordinate drawings and project requirements with multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in site visits, surveys, field reviews, and construction support activities.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Support project delivery from concept development through construction.
- Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of BIM and Revit workflows within the Edmonton office.
- Assist in the transition from AutoCAD-based design practices to Revit-based project delivery.
Qualifications- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related discipline.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in the consulting engineering industry, with a focus on building mechanical systems.
- Proven experience producing construction drawings and technical documentation for building projects.
- Strong proficiency with Revit.
- Solid understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and other building mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with applicable building codes, standards, and industry best practices.
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
