Full Job Description
Prestige Extreme is seeking an experienced Build Lead to oversee the assembly and completion of complex aerospace tooling, fixtures, gauges, and manufactured components. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating daily build activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, maintaining the highest quality standards, and providing technical guidance to the build team.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in aerospace or automotive manufacturing, excels at interpreting engineering drawings, and thrives in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment.

Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate daily activities of the build team to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within quality requirements.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical specifications to guide the assembly and build process.
• Build, assemble, fit, and troubleshoot complex aerospace tooling, fixtures, jigs, gauges, and mechanical assemblies.
• Assign work, prioritize tasks, and monitor workflow to maximize productivity and meet customer deadlines.
• Provide technical support and hands-on assistance to team members during assembly, fitting, and troubleshooting.
• Verify dimensional accuracy and functionality of completed assemblies using precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
• Identify manufacturing or assembly issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Production teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure project success.
• Maintain accurate documentation of build progress, modifications, inspections, and project status.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and customer specifications.
• Train, mentor, and support team members while promoting continuous improvement and teamwork.
• Recommend process improvements that enhance quality, efficiency, and productivity.

Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing, with demonstrated leadership experience preferred.
• Extensive experience building and assembling tooling, fixtures, jigs, gauges, or complex mechanical assemblies.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Thorough understanding of machining processes, manufacturing methods, and assembly techniques.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, and other inspection tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient mathematical skills and the ability to perform calculations related to manufacturing and assembly.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, and work in a manufacturing environment throughout the shift.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing.
• Leadership or supervisory experience in a machining or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles.
• Experience working with prototype, low-volume, or custom manufacturing environments.
