Job Overview:

Job Summary**

The Bridge Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities for bridge projects in the Shreveport, LA area, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:

* Manage and supervise all aspects of bridge construction projects from planning to completion, including site layout, concrete pouring, steel erection, and finishing work.
* Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and project specifications.
* Develop and implement project schedules, monitor progress, and report on deviations.
* Coordinate and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
* Supervise and mentor on-site crews, fostering a productive and safe work environment.
* Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with plans and specifications.
* Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, and subcontractors.
* Identify and resolve construction issues and conflicts promptly.
* Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, safety logs, and progress reports.
* Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on project status.

Job Qualifications**

* Minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a Superintendent or similar role on heavy civil construction projects, with significant experience specifically in bridge construction.
* Proven track record of successfully managing and completing bridge projects.
* Thorough knowledge of bridge construction methods, techniques, and materials.
* Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in project scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* OSHA 30 certification preferred.
