Bridge Inspector Project Manager / Team Leader

We have an exciting career opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager with experience in bridge inspection to join our talented team and help make a difference in the communities across Benesch. This role will be part of an established Structural Assessment group and will work with various transportation clients and projects. In this role, you9ll be involved in self-performing and directing project teams, conduct bridge inspections, prepare field inspection reports, and determine load capacity ratings. Your responsibilities will extend to playing a crucial role in nurturing client relationships as well as mentoring staff. Other duties involve providing support in the planning and design of related structural repairs.
Location

This position supports a flexible hybrid work model, with a primary emphasis on in-office collaboration. This position will require travel and will be based in any of our Colorado offices - Denver, CO or Johnstown, CO. Remote opportunities for the right candidate are available.
The Impact You Will Have
  • Collaborate with local management to strategize and implement project pursuits and delivery efforts.
  • Devise and implement strategies for capturing project opportunities, including teaming arrangements and strategic positioning, while identifying necessary staff resources for successful project acquisition and delivery.
  • Build and nurture relationships with both external and internal clients.
  • Supervise and guide staff to execute bridge inspection services and engineering support including report generation and load rating analysis.
  • Coordinate, plan, and manage multiple bridge inspection projects.
  • Perform bridge safety inspections in accordance with NBIS and DOT, and supervise team members in the completion of inspections and reports.
  • Effectively manage and organize project documentation and reports.
  • Developing task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner.
  • Performing tasks on schedule and within budget as assigned.
  • Collaborate within a dynamic team to fulfill project requirements and deliver a high-quality product to the client.
What We Are Looking For
  • Minimum 8 years related experience
  • NBIS Certified Bridge Safety Inspector (CBSI), with up-to-date refresher training
  • CBSI Team Leader
  • BSCE or related discipline preferred but not required
  • EIT and plan to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) Registration preferred but not required
  • Fracture Critical Inspection / Scour Evaluation training a plus
  • SPRAT certification a plus
  • Experience preparing reports for inspections, including iForms, BMS2, National Bridge Elements (NBE), etc.
  • Familiarity with DOT Publications
  • Bridge inspection assignments vary greatly, but physical requirements like climbing embankments and manipulating ladders should be expected
  • Frequent overnight travel may be required
  • Candidate should not be averse to working at heights or adjacent busy roadways
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid U.S. driver9s license
  • Positive experience interacting with clients, agencies, and other project stakeholders
  • Accustomed to working in a team environment on challenging projects
  • Strong work ethic

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on numerous factors, including but not limited to individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and geographic location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary, overtime, and bonuses.

Colorado Pay Range

$124,000-$160,000 USD
