The OpportunityRS&H is currently seeking a Bridge Area Discipline Lead to join our Transportation Practice in our Jacksonville office!
In this role, you will be responsible for the structural aspects of bridge design projects. This position will be responsible for delivering current and future projects through construction, leading and supervising a team of bridge engineers, and for mentoring the team in structural design and career development. This position will also be responsible for leading technical pursuits and proposal writing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree minimum and (Master’s degree with structural emphasis preferred) in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Must have a FL professional engineering (PE) registration with the ability to obtain comity in other jurisdictions as required
- Experience designing transportation structures including bridges, retaining walls, culverts, miscellaneous structures, and construction engineering.
- 12 or more years (minimum of 7 years) of progressive structural engineering design experience preferred
- Good working knowledge of MicroStation, Excel, Mathcad, variety of Structural Design Software, (examples include STAAD, MDX, LPILE, CONSPAN, RISA, LARSA)
- Experience with Finite Element Method/Analysis preferred
- Experience working on traditional Design Bid-Build and Design-Build delivery methods.
- Experience working as Owner’s Representative on projects
- Experience working on FDOT projects
- Experience managing and mentoring engineering staff
- Experience with business development including client relationship management, proposal writing and presentations
