Integrated Multidisciplinary Breast CareThe Breast Center operates within a Commission on Cancer (CoC)-accredited cancer program and is fully integrated with the Calaway-Young Cancer Center. Care is delivered through a coordinated, multidisciplinary model that includes breast imaging, medical oncology, radiation oncology, genetics, nurse navigation, survivorship, and supportive services.
The program also includes in-house plastic and reconstructive surgery, allowing seamless coordination of combined breast oncologic and reconstructive cases. Breast surgeons participate in a general tumor board, reinforcing evidence-based care and shared clinical decision-making.
Qualifications- Board-certified or board-eligible General Surgeon with breast fellowship training or significant breast surgery experience
- Commitment to patient-centered, community-based care
- Interest in multidisciplinary collaboration and longitudinal practice
- Collegial, team-oriented practice style
