Full Job Description
We are looking for a Board Certified Radiologist (Physician)
Location: Sioux Falls VA Health Care System, 2501 W. 22nd Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57105

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Interpret and report on general radiology, fluoroscopic procedures, neuroradiology, musculoskeletal imaging, general nuclear medicine and SPECT/CT, CT, CT angiography, MRI, MRI angiography, ultrasound, and bone densitometry (DEXA) studies
• Perform radiology procedures as required
• Communicate critical and significant findings directly to referring clinicians within mandated timeframes
• Document all interpretations and procedures in the VA electronic health record system
• Collaborate with VA technologists, nurses, and physicians to ensure high-quality patient care
• Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and performance improvement activities
• Adhere to all VA policies, procedures, and infection control standards
• Maintain compliance with all credentialing, privileging, and continuing education requirements
• Participate in staff meetings, clinical case reviews, and other administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
• Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state or territory
• Board Certification by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or American Board of Nuclear Medicine (ABNM)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Meets all VA credentialing and privileging requirements (per VHA Directives 1100.20 and 1100.21)
• Proficient with PACS and electronic health record systems
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
