Job Description: Blackstone Multi-Asset Investing (BXMA) - Product Management, Vice President
Business Unit Overview
Blackstone Multi-Asset Investing (BXMA) manages $109 billion across a diversified set of businesses. We strive to generate attractive risk-adjusted returns for our clients across market cycles. Our strategies include Absolute Return, Multi-Strategy, Total Portfolio Management, and Public Real Assets.
Product Management Team Overview:
Within BXMA, the Product Management team sits at the intersection of the investment and client-facing organizations and is responsible for producing all investment product content. The team partners closely with various Investment teams, Client Investment Strategy, and Institutional Client Solutions (ICS) to shape how our strategies are understood, positioned, and delivered to the market.
Product Management is responsible for the development, governance, and continuous enhancement of all client- and prospect-facing investment materials - including marketing presentations, portfolio and performance reviews, recurring and customized reporting, due diligence questionnaires, and responses to analytical and product-related inquiries.
The team operates in a high-velocity, deadline-driven environment shaped by both recurring client engagements and ad-hoc commercial needs. The team's mandate combines portfolio performance and risk analysis with strong data visualization and written communication skills to produce high-quality investor-facing content. Success in this role requires moving seamlessly from portfolio analysis and performance calculations to drafting investor commentary and producing polished client-facing materials.
Role Overview - Vice President, Product Management
The role will lead day-to-day Product Management coverage for the Total Portfolio Management product line, serving as a primary product expert and key partner to commercial and investment stakeholders. This role is central in shaping how the strategy is represented to the market, ensuring that product narratives, performance communication, and client-facing materials are analytically sound, commercially effective, and executed with consistently high quality.
This position is expected to independently execute analytical workstreams and take ownership of high-profile client deliverables. Success in this role requires a balance of product and investment knowledge, hands-on data analytics, written/visual communication, and collaborative partnership.
Key Dimensions of the Role
Data Analysis & Content Creation: Perform hands-on analysis of portfolio performance and risk data to produce client-ready deliverables. Build, update, format, and quality-control portfolio review materials, fundraising presentations, and client reporting decks. Independently investigate large and complex datasets, validate calculations, reconcile discrepancies, and synthesize findings into clear, investor-ready conclusions. Translate quantitative analysis into written commentary, data visualizations, presentations, and reporting materials that accurately communicate portfolio positioning, performance outcomes, and market developments.
Quality Control: Own the review and validation of portfolio analytics, performance attribution, benchmark comparisons, and client reporting metrics. Investigate anomalies, reconcile results across data sources, and ensure analytical integrity before external distribution. Improve templates, data pipelines, and processes, raising the overall consistency and professionalism of deliverables over time.
Product Knowledge: Develop strong expertise across assigned portfolios, performance drivers, and product characteristics to advise stakeholders with credibility and precision. Serve as a primary product partner to Client Service and Sales teams as they address investor inquiries, client situations, and fundraising needs. Work closely with the investment team, commercial leadership, and senior Product Management leadership to translate investment thinking into clear, accurate, and commercially effective materials that communicate the strategy's positioning and performance story.
Leadership and Collaboration: Manage competing priorities across recurring reporting, fundraising initiatives, and ad hoc client requests to ensure timely delivery. Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing to junior team members and contribute to a collaborative, accountable team culture. Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations, and Technology teams to ensure investor-facing materials are accurate, approved, and delivered on time.
