We're currently seeking a Biopharm Sales Engineer - CO to join our team. This role will focus on:
The Biopharmaceutical Sales Engineer's responsibility is to serve our customers and prospects by identifying their needs and applying Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions products to help them make process improvements. The Biopharmaceutical Sales Engineer (SE) is accountable for the entire sales process from lead generation through close while conducting business in accordance with WMFTS's core values. The Biopharmaceutical Sales Engineer will leverage their engineering background and experience to influence the customer throughout the sales process.

What you will be doing:
You will be identifying current and future customer requirements by establishing relationships with prospects, customers, and other influencers. You will sustain relationships to ensure strong customer satisfaction and WMFTS brand loyalty.

Key Accountabilities include:
  • You will offer tailored fluid handling solutions through a consultative sales approach.
  • You will prospect for new business while maintaining current customer base by organizing sales calls using effective time management.
  • You will effectively communicate the value proposition of the full range of WMFTS product brands to the Biopharmaceutical and Pharmaceutical markets.
  • Work with the District Sales Manager to establish targets, and develop sales strategies that are in line with the WMFTS group strategy for growth.
  • Monitor and advance the project pipeline, from initial design phase to production, ensuring all inquiries are followed up in a timely manner. You will understand and strategically assess factors that could impact the outcome of a sale.
  • Act as project leader to manage all aspects of a customer's experience with WMFTS.
  • Administer & maintain accurate records on CRM system.
  • Follow up on all leads in a timely manner.
  • Provide market intelligence, competitor and industry trends to management to contribute to accurate reporting and forecasting.
  • Establish relationships with engineering firms in your assigned territory to provide support and encourage WMFTS product specification on all future projects.
  • Work with trade show and exhibition visitors to determine their needs and then present WMFTS value proposition to meet their needs.
  • Conduct lunch & learns and other events at customer sites to better educate the market on the value of the entire WMFTS product portfolio.
  • Contribute to the honing of our marketing message, operational improvement, and new product development through voice of customer feedback and ongoing communication of successes, failures, and opportunities within the territory.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

This is what you'll need to be successful in this role
  • BS degree in life science/engineering and related field required.
  • Previous sales experience in the life science industry with proven track record is also necessary. Selling to manufacturing, process development, and GMP setting a plus
  • Experience in Biopharma/life technology is a must
  • Must have a scientific back ground.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills required to communicate with internal and external contacts.
  • Travel: 50% within the territory (no overnight), occasional overnight travels necessary (training, trade show, and meetings)
  • Great interpersonal skills and high professionalism

Physical Demands• Mobility: This is a remote position that primarily requires sitting at a desk or computer workstation for extended periods, with occasional need to stand or move around to maintain health and well-being. Ability to regularly operate a computer keyboard and mouse.
• Vision and Hearing: Ability to use a computer and read documents. Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and clients through video conferencing tools.
• Dexterity: Basic hand dexterity for typing and using computer peripherals

This position offers a salary range of (USD 93,471.00 - 140,207.00 Salaried). Final salary offers are determined by multiple factors, including education, experience, internal equity, geographic location, and the candidate's expertise, and therefore may vary from the range listed. For roles based outside Massachusetts, the applicable salary range may be lower.
