Your Role:In this role with MilliporeSigma, you will drive digital-first growth across a diverse West Coast territory spanning universities, hospitals, government agencies, small pharma, food and beverage and industrial manufacturers. You will be the virtual commercial face of our microbiology quality control portfolio - managing relationships, building a pipeline, and delivering results entirely through digital channels from our Burlington, MA office.
Responsibilities:
- Own your territory. Build and execute account plans, manage a defined portfolio across universities, hospitals, government agencies, small pharma, food & beverage and industrial accounts, and consistently achieve sales targets.
- Grow the pipeline. Proactively pursue opportunities in environmental monitoring, hygiene monitoring, pathogen testing, bioburden, and rapid microbial technologies through outbound outreach via phone, email, and virtual meetings.
- Be the expert. Maintain strong technical and application knowledge in microbiology and environmental monitoring to deliver value-driven conversations with QA/QC and procurement contacts across all customer segments.
- Drive commercial outcomes. Manage pricing strategies including quotations, customer-specific pricing programs (CSPs), and value-add negotiations; maintain pipeline activity in Salesforce.com and submit accurate quarterly forecasts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally. Partner with Field Application Specialists, Marketing, and Technology Specialists to execute targeted campaigns, support account growth, and ensure a seamless customer experience.
You will work out of our Burlington, MA office covering a territory that includes CA, OR, WA, AK, and BC Canada.
Who You Are:Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in any field
- 1+ years of sales, account management, or customer-facing experience
Preferred Qualifications:- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate effectively in a virtual/digital environment
- Experience in digital or inside sales within life science, food & beverage, industrial, or related markets
- Technical knowledge of microbiology QC, environmental monitoring, or food safety programs (AOAC, FSMA, HACCP)
- Familiarity with university, hospital, government, small pharma, or food & beverage customer environments
- Skilled in territory business planning and translating strategy into account-level execution
- Proven ability to manage both transactional and longer-term strategic account development
- Proficient in Salesforce.com, LinkedIn, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital engagement platforms
- Experience with eCommerce or digital self-service platforms and customer onboarding/adoption programs
Pay Range for this position: $76,300 - $114,400
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
