Full Job Description
Responsibilities:
  • BIM Implementation Planning: They develop and implement BIM execution plans for design and construction projects. They collaborate with project stakeholders to define BIM goals, standards, and protocols to be followed throughout the project. They are responsible for generating a preliminary 3D model for pre-construction and estimating activities.
  • Coordination and Collaboration: They facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members, including architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors. They ensure that all parties are working together efficiently and utilize BIM tools and processes effectively. They are responsible for extracting structural, piping, ducting, lighting, and other quantities from the 3D model.
  • Model Management: They oversee the creation, organization, and management of BIM models. They ensure that the models are accurate, up-to-date, and comply with project requirements and industry standards. They are responsible for clash detection and resolution, ensuring that conflicts between different building systems are identified and resolved in the virtual environment before construction begins.
  • Quality Control: They are responsible for conducting quality control checks on BIM models and associated data. They verify the accuracy and completeness of the models and ensure that they comply with project specifications and standards. They review and validate the information contained within the models to ensure consistency and reliability.
  • Scheduling: They are responsible for integrating the Master Schedule into general 4D schedules and simulations.
  • Autodesk Forma Administration: When Autodesk Forma is required for coordination with architects and engineers, establish the project folder on the Autodesk Forma site managed by the corporate headquarters and submit requests for the necessary user permissions. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure that project access and folder structures are properly configured and maintained.
  • Training and Support: They provide training and support to project team members on BIM tools, processes, and workflows. They assist in the adoption and implementation of BIM technologies, helping team members understand how to effectively utilize BIM in their respective roles.
  • BIM Standards and Best Practices: They stay up to date with the latest industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies related to BIM. They ensure that the project team is aware of and adheres to these standards, helping to drive continuous improvement in BIM implementation.

Work Experience:
  • At least three years of experience as a BIM Manager or in a similar role within the design or construction industry.
  • Experience with industrial projects, with a strong background in structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines, is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of design-build project delivery.
  • Proficiency in design and modeling software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD Plant 3D, and other relevant platforms such as Procore.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make well-informed decisions.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
