About the Role

The Coordinator – Revenue Operations is an integral part of Latham’s Revenue Operations team. This role will be responsible for inventory management including coordinating the activities of the billing process, performing complex billing duties in efforts to meet monthly targets, and monitoring and tracking accounts receivable (A/R), while managing the complete billing and collections cycle for the inventory of a specified group of billing attorneys, ensuring compliance with the firm’s best practices for processes, tasks, and timelines. This role will be located in either our San Francisco or Silicon Valley office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as a liaison among attorneys, attorney support, the Global Finance team, and clients, ensuring timely responses to both internal and external inquiries
  • Preparing and analyzing complex client billing by meticulously reviewing, approving, and posting client invoices; ensuring all billing activities comply with firm policies, client guidelines, and rate agreements, maintaining a high level of accuracy and precision
  • Generating and reviewing proformas from 3E, monitoring work-in-progress (WIP) fees and costs, flags balances to billing attorneys, and addressing WIP balances according to billing attorney instructions, in line with the “Gold Standard”
  • Promoting best practice for matter maintenance to ensure the judicious conversion of WIP to cash, including the accurate opening and timely closure of matters, appropriate rate/discount and e-billing setups, proper bill frequency matter coding, prompt submission of time entries, and timely application of BOA balances
  • Delivering client invoices to client/E-billing team or tracking delivery of client invoices and matter statuses, ensuring prompt delivery of invoices to client and monitoring invoices not sent, coordinating on client platform and E-billing onboarding tasks
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
