Job Description Reporting to the Manager of Programs • Chief of Rehab Services, the Bilingual Speech Therapist will support and provide specialized care to children with speech and language difficulties. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with speech and language disorders. This includes developing individualized treatment plans, providing direct therapy, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in children.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Provide direct therapy to children with speech and language disorders.
- Instruct parents and caregivers on how to support the child's progress.
- Document patient progress and outcomes.
- Attend conferences and workshops to stay up to date on the latest techniques in speech therapy.
SPECIFIC SKILLS: - Able to provide effective therapeutic interventions for young children in the areas of speech, language, feeding and assistive technology.
- Able to conduct appropriate assessments for young children in the areas of speech, language and feeding,
- Able to maintain indicated levels of productivity and adhere to regulatory mandates,
- Able to respect family confidentiality and issues of cultural diversity,
- Able to be a Team player with the ability to develop strong working relationships with employees across all locations and disciplines.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Mater's Degree
- Experience working with children presenting with wide ranging communication disorders.
- NYS License in Speech Pathology
- Teaching Certificate (TSHH/TSSLD) • NYC Department of Education
- Approximately 1 year experience working exclusively working with the pediatric department.
COMPENSATION: $77,000 - $107,000
