Big Data Engineer to work with a dynamic team building reusable SaaS components to ingest various types of data into a cloud environment using ETL tools, at our headquarters in

Responsibilities included, but not limited to:- Implement aspects of application design - high-performance design, coding, caching mechanisms, security, encryption, state management, error logging, debugging, scalability, code reviews, environment configuration, and testing.
- Perform unit and system-level testing of applications.
- Develop reusable loosely-coupled software components to deploy on cloud platforms.
- Implement ETL processes.
- Implement business-layers as web service using Java, Spring Framework and JPA.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of related software development experience, implementation of large enterprise systems or distributed computing environment
- Proficiency in Java, Spring, JPA and Hibernate.
- Proficiency in ETL development using tools such as Pentaho.
- Experience in solving big-data problems using Open Source technologies such as Hadoop/HDFS, Accumulo, Spark and HBase on a cloud platform.
- Proficiency in RDBMS including SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle.
- Proven track record of designing scalable, distributed software applications.
- Object-oriented design and programming experience.
- Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:- 7+ years in Java, C#
- Cloudera ecosystems Hive, Pig, Impala, HBase, Mahout, Spark
- Department of Defense SECRET security clearance.
