Benefits
The Benefits Auditor is responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timelyadministration of employee benefit programs through detailed auditing, reconciliation, andbilling support activities. This role conducts regular audits of benefit enrollments, deductions,and vendor data to identify and investigate discrepancies and ensure data integrity. The positionperforms bi-weekly audits to validate employee eligibility, enrollment changes, payrolldeductions, and benefit plan records across HRIS, payroll, and vendor systems. Ensures andmaintains compliance with company policies and federal and state laws.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities
▪ Maintain internal database files and tables and develop custom reports to meet therequirements of company management and staff.▪ Serve as primary billing contact for benefit plan vendors and third-party administrators.▪ Audit and reconcile monthly benefit vendor invoices. Resolve discrepancies with carriers.▪ Process HSA and Retirement Plan Contributions.▪ Audit benefits accounts including HSA account closure and COBRA.▪ Process employee Medical and Dental/Vision credit audits.▪ Evaluate benefit eligibility according to benefit plan documents and state and federallaws.▪ Conduct biweekly ADP new hire and payroll change entry audits.▪ Manage COBRA benefit program. Process COBRA notices, enrollments, coverages,notices, terminations, reporting, and premium payments.▪ Maintain ACA compliance and reporting, audits and correct 1095C forms at year-end.▪ Manage annual HR Benefits Portfolio project including reporting, auditing, and ADPupload.▪ Manage and monitor electronic data interchange (EDI) eligibility and enrollment feedsbetween ADP and insurance carriers and investigate and correct eligibility, coverage, anddemographic data errors affecting carrier feeds.▪ Support with ADP HR Benefits module updates including benefit plan set up, benefitproviders, new hire and open enrollment profiles, rate structure, and benefit settings.▪ Maintain confidentiality and privacy of all employee and payroll information and files.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
▪ Process ADP changes per approved PAF, including schedule changes, telework changes,etc.▪ Assist with Benefits Guidebook annual updates.▪ Assist with annual benefit open enrollment. Enroll and delete individuals on benefitplans, change benefit status, review enrollment forms and other documents for accuracyand forward to appropriate carries.▪ Back up to Benefits Coordinator/Program Coordinator as needed.▪ Collaborate with Training and Development to provide necessary trainingresources/support to meet end users’ needs.▪ Update and/or order and distribute compliance posters.▪ Assist with employee separation meetings or termination packets.▪ Assist with Worker’s Compensation claim requests.▪ Support with researching, scheduling, organizing, Flu Shot Clinic.▪ Leads, assigns, and participates in special projects as needed.▪ Assists in planning and coordinating employee events and activities as needed.▪ Assist with EEO-1 compliance and reporting.▪ Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related fieldpreferred; three (3) to five (5) years of experience in related areas suchas employee benefits administration; or equivalent combination ofeducation and experience which would provide the required knowledgeand abilities.
Special Skills, Licenses and Certifications
Advances knowledge in MS Word and Excel. Advanced knowledge ofADP Workforce Now and ADP Benefits Solutions. Typing speed of 40wpm and proficient use of 10-key calculator. Knowledge of generaloffice business machine operation.
Performance Based Competencies
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong analyticalskills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlinesare essential for success in this role. Excellent organization skills withthe ability to coordinate and maintain multiple tasks simultaneouslyand to deliver responses and results within established time frames.Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to use good judgement, maintainconfidentiality of personnel and payroll files and information, andhandle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy.
Work Environment And Physical Demands
Ability to work at a computer terminal for 8+ hours/day. More than80% of work time may be spent in front of a computer monitor.Includes frequent, repetitive motion including computer typing,sitting/standing for most of the day. Ability to lift, carry, or moveobjects of varying size, weighing up to 25 lbs
HIRING RANGE:
$88,154.59 - $110,193.23
