Job Description:
We are seeking a Benefits Administrator to join our Durham, NC or Vallejo, CA team!
WHAT You'll Do:
Administer and maintain all company benefit programs for assigned staff, which may include those in multi-state locations.
Coordinate and administer the annual Open Enrollment process, including system configuration, testing, employee communications, enrollment support, auditing, reconciliation of benefit elections, and post-enrollment reviews to ensure the accuracy and integrity of enrollment data.
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit questions, eligibility and enrollment, benefit changes, and the resolution of benefit-related issues.
Administer and/or coordinate leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, state and local leave programs, parental and military leave.
Build and maintain trusted, collaborative relationships with employees and managers by providing guidance and support regarding benefit programs, leaves of absence, and related processes.
Educate employees and managers on benefit offerings, enrollment procedures, and responsibilities through open enrollment meetings, training sessions, individualized consultations, and other presentations, as needed.
Function as liaison between benefit vendors, Payroll, Human Resources, and employees to resolve benefit-related issues.
Support employee wellness initiatives and related vendor programs.
Maintain benefit information within HR systems, ensuring accurate employee eligibility, enrollments, benefit elections, payroll deductions, and vendor file transmissions.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential benefit records.
Calculate employee and employer benefit costs for all benefit plans to ensure accurate employee deductions and vendor billing.Prepare and analyze benefit-related reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Research and monitor changes to federal and state benefit regulations, including health care reform, ensuring benefit programs remain compliant and recommending changes when necessary.
Participate in and, at times, lead the coordination of compliance activities, including but not limited toretirement plans,ACA,and other applicable federal and state regulations, ensuring required data is submitted accurately and timely.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Bachelor’s degree in related field OR equivalent related experience and 5 years related benefits experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with HRIS system;Workdayexperience preferred.
PHR or CEBS professional certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of benefit principles, laws, and regulations and technical knowledge of benefit functional areas
Ability to effectively present information, both orally and in writing.
Demonstrated ability to provide high level customer service to employees.
Highly organized with keen attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to develop strong relationships within the HR team and with employees throughout assigned area of responsibility.
May be required to travel to various business sites.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Compensation range - $63,200 - 94,800 Durham, NC
$75,900 - 113,900 Vallejo, CA
