This is a growth position for someone who wants to shape how PGI pursues and wins its most important business. The Department of War, special operations, and homeland security markets are closely aligned to PGI's mission heritage and represent a critical growth vector for the firm.

The ideal candidate has done this before, has relationships to leverage, and has the capability and motivation to be a valuable team member capable of building and sustaining growth within their market domain.

The BD Account Executive will be responsible for the following:

Business Development & Pipeline Development

  • Own a single, accurate, and well-qualified pipeline in the cleared facility and cloud provider ecosystem.
  • Own and run the gate review process and meetings on the pursuits within their domain.
  • Identify and pursue relevant contract vehicles and teaming arrangements, including agency and SOF support IDIQs, MATOCs, and GWACs (e.g., OASIS+, GSA MAS, and SOCOM, DHS, and service-component vehicles) and prime and subcontract positions that create scalable, multi-program growth across their market.

Relationships & Networking

  • Implement the account penetration strategy for the most strategically important targets within their area of responsibility, developing and converting leads they or others in the firm identify.
  • Represent the company in defense, special operations, and homeland security industry groups and conferences as an attendee and speaker, including SOF Week, the AUSA Annual Meeting, Modern Day Marine, Border Security Expo, and GSX (ASIS International).

Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis

  • Maintain a current view of the competitive landscape across the Department of War, special operations, and homeland security markets, including incumbent positions, recompete timelines, budget cycles, and emerging requirements.
  • Track geopolitical events and corresponding force posture, deployment, installation security, and program funding cycles as leading indicators of new opportunity generation.
  • Help identify additional agencies, commands, installations, and mission areas for corporate expansion.
  • Provide the VP of Business Development and Chief Strategy Officer with regular strategic briefings on pipeline health, market trends, competitive positioning, and resourcing needs.
  • Identify capability gaps and adjacent market opportunities, including Department of State Diplomatic Security / Worldwide Protective Services, Intelligence Community facility protection, expeditionary mission support, and training and readiness, and translate them into prioritized growth targets.

Required Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Department of War, special operations, and homeland security acquisition and procurement, including the program offices, commands, installations, and organizational structures that govern security and mission support decisions in those environments.
  • Four or more years of progressive business development, capture, or program leadership experience within the defense, special operations, intelligence, or homeland security mission support space.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a growth pipeline and leading opportunity pursuits, including identifying emerging requirements, shaping opportunities through client engagement, positioning your firm, and helping to lead proposal development.
  • Established relationships within the defense, special operations, and/or homeland security community.
  • Strong interpersonal and executive communication skills with the range to engage credibly with military and civilian program leaders, contracting officers, and senior command staff.

Required Security Clearance:
  • Active Top Secret Clearance (TS/SCI preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Existing relationships within SOCOM and its component and theater commands (USASOC, NSW, AFSOC, MARSOC, JSOC, and the TSOCs), or the geographic combatant commands.
  • Existing relationships within DHS components (CBP, ICE, TSA, USSS, CISA, FEMA), the Department of State (Diplomatic Security / Worldwide Protective Services), the Intelligence Community, or DoD installation and force protection programs.
  • Prior military special operations, intelligence, or federal law enforcement experience.
