The Director will report to the BCAS Dean and must be a full-time faculty, with teaching and research responsibilities in any of the BCAS Departments. We seek a director who is enthusiastic in supporting and managing trips to collaborate with faculty and students at our partner institutions in Greece, which include Aristotle University in Thessaloniki (AUTh), and Ionian University (IU) in both Corfu and Zakynthos. BCAS is home to the long-standing Alabama-Greece Initiative, a partnership with Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), a major research university in Greece's second-largest city, as well as a collaboration with Ionian University (IU), located in the Ionian Islands. The relationship with AUTh is one of our longest standing international partnerships and our newest partnership resulted from the BCAS participation and support in the IIE IAPP Greece Program. Through the Alabama Greece Initiative, faculty and students routinely engage in academic collaborations, including faculty research and creative activity exchange and student internship opportunities. The Alabama Greece Initiative is an effort to develop a formal, cross-disciplinary collaborative relationship with our partner universities in Greece
