Position Description: CGI is seeking an AWS Python Developer III with 5+ years of experience in Python development to build and support Python services, REST APIs, and data processing workloads in an AWS based financial services environment. The developer will deliver reliable, secure, and maintainable code using established engineering practices and approved cloud patterns.
This position is required in one of the following locations: Lafayette, LA, Knoxville, TN, or Birmingham, AL
Your future duties and responsibilities: Responsibilities include developing and testing Python components, integrating applications and data sources, troubleshooting service and processing issues, and supporting releases. This role works closely with Agile team members, maintains technical documentation, and raises delivery risks and production concerns promptly.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: . 5+ years of experience in Python development, including modular programming, type hints, exception handling, dependency management, logging, and unit testing.
. Experience building and supporting REST APIs, SQL queries, and data processing integrations, including working with JSON and XML.
. Working knowledge of AWS services, including Lambda, EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, EventBridge, SNS, and SQS.
. Understanding of automated testing, secure coding, code quality, and performance troubleshooting.
. Ability to troubleshoot application and integration issues, document technical decisions, and collaborate effectively within an Agile team.
. Experience with Boto3, Pandas, PySpark, Git/GitLab, CI/CD, Docker, and CloudFormation is preferred.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $95,700.00 $123,200.00.
