AVP - Senior NetSuite ZoneBilling Architect
What You'll Do- Solution Architecture: Design end-to-end quote-to-cash solutions across Salesforce and NetSuite, with ZoneBilling handling subscription, usage-based and project-based billing, revenue recognition and AR.
- Billing-Aware Quote Design: Partner with TechTorch's Salesforce architects so CPQ and Revenue Cloud models for amendments, renewals, co-terming, ramps and usage-priced products translate cleanly into ZoneBilling records downstream.
- ZoneBilling Design: Define the ZoneBilling data model - subscriptions, subscription items, price books, contract pricing and usage records - along with billing rules, proration and revenue elements, including how each behaves on amendment.
- NetSuite Finance Design: Map Salesforce products to NetSuite items and design customers, subsidiaries (including OneWorld multi-entity), multi-currency, tax, AR and revenue recognition setup.
- Integration Design: Architect Salesforce-to-NetSuite integrations on Workato or Celigo using Zone's packaged templates: system of record per object, sync direction and trigger points (e.g., Closed Won versus contract activation), error handling, retries and idempotency, and the return flow of invoices, credit notes, payments and refunds into Salesforce.
- Usage Data Pipelines: Define where consumption data originates, how it is aggregated and how it lands in ZoneBilling as usage records, including true-ups.
- Data Migration: Lead migration of in-flight contracts - live subscriptions, mid-term amendments and open billing schedules - so the first post-go-live invoice run is correct.
- Quote-to-Cash Testing: Design and lead end-to-end UAT from quote through invoice, payment and revenue schedule, including amendment and renewal scenarios, with finance users executing the tests.
- Platform Strategy: Advise PE sponsors and portfolio leadership on standardising the finance stack, including where the wider Zone & Co suite fits alongside Salesforce and NetSuite.
- Practice Building & Mentorship: Build TechTorch's ZoneBilling and NetSuite capability through Zone partner enablement, reusable accelerators and hands-on mentoring of consultants and developers.
Who You Are- We are seeking a seasoned NetSuite architect with deep expertise in Zone & Co's ZoneBilling and a strong working knowledge of Salesforce quote-to-contract. This role is responsible for designing, architecting and guiding the finance side of quote-to-cash implementations - billing, subscriptions, revenue recognition and AR in NetSuite - and the integration that connects them to Salesforce CPQ, Sales Cloud and Revenue Cloud. The ideal candidate is as credible with a client's controller discussing deferred revenue as with an integration team debating idempotency, and designs so the first invoice after go-live is right. Given TechTorch's focus on PE-backed businesses standardising finance across portfolio companies, experience with the wider Zone & Co suite is a strong plus.
Zone&Co Billing- Expertise in Zone&Co ZoneBilling: subscriptions, subscription items, price books, contract pricing, usage records, billing rules, proration and revenue elements.
- Experience delivering subscription, usage-based and project-based billing models, including how amendments flow through to billing and revenue recognition.
- Hands-on experience with Zone's packaged Salesforce integration for Salesforce CPQ, Sales Cloud and Revenue Cloud, including opportunity sync and the automated amendment workflow.
- Knowledge of the wider Zone & Co suite - AP automation, approval workflows, pre-built Power BI reporting for NetSuite, bank reconciliation, payments and payroll - is a plus.
NetSuite Finance- Strong NetSuite functional depth across items, customers, subsidiaries (including OneWorld multi-entity), multi-currency, tax and AR.
- Experience configuring NetSuite revenue recognition (e.g., Advanced Revenue Management).
- Ability to diagnose why an invoice or revenue schedule came out wrong and trace it back through NetSuite, the integration and Salesforce.
Revenue & Billing Domain- Working knowledge of ASC 606 / IFRS 15, deferred revenue, usage metering and true-ups.
- Credibility with CFOs, controllers and billing teams, who own design and test sign-off.
Salesforce Quote-to-Contract- Solid understanding of Salesforce CPQ and/or Revenue Cloud with a billing mindset: amendments, renewals, co-terming, ramps and usage-priced products.
- Ability to shape quote and contract design so it anticipates the downstream billing model, not just the quote.
Architecture & Integration- Proven experience designing Salesforce-to-NetSuite integrations on Workato or Celigo, including Zone's integration templates.
- Strong grasp of system-of-record decisions, sync direction and trigger timing, error handling, retries and idempotency.
- Experience designing usage data pipelines from source systems into billing.
- Familiarity with SuiteScript, SuiteFlow and NetSuite APIs (SuiteTalk SOAP / REST).
Delivery- Track record leading migration of in-flight contracts, mid-term amendments and open billing schedules.
- Experience designing and running end-to-end quote-to-cash UAT with finance users as testers.
AI-Native- Demonstrated ability to use AI-native delivery practices, including LLM-assisted solution design, rapid prototyping, prompt engineering, AI-assisted documentation, and AI-supported configuration and code generation.
- Comfortable with "vibe coding" and conversational development workflows: using natural language prompts to generate, refine, test, and explain SuiteScript, integration recipes and flows, field mappings, and solution prototypes while maintaining strong engineering discipline.
- Uses AI to accelerate migration mapping, reconciliation checks and quote-to-cash test scenario generation.
Soft Skills- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly with finance leadership.
- Ability to translate complex technical and accounting designs into clear business outcomes.
- Proven leadership in cross-functional teams, including mentoring and coaching.
Qualifications- 10+ years of ERP or finance systems experience, with at least 5 years in a NetSuite architect or solution lead role.
- Experience with Zone&Co ZoneBilling is a must.
- Hands-on delivery of ZoneBilling implementations integrated with Salesforce preferred. Candidates with strong NetSuite SuiteBilling / Advanced Revenue Management experience who will complete Zone & Co partner enablement will be considered.
- NetSuite ERP Consultant and/or SuiteFoundation certification preferred.
- Zone & Co partner certification or bootcamp completion preferred.
- Workato or Celigo certification is a plus.
- Salesforce CPQ Specialist or Revenue Cloud Consultant certification is a plus.
- Accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) or a finance operations background is a plus.
