The
Assistant Vice President of Campus Infrastructure & Management provides strategic and operational leadership for the University's physical campus, facilities, infrastructure, and related administrative services. This position is responsible for developing and implementing long-term campus infrastructure strategies while ensuring the safe, efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective operation and maintenance of university facilities, grounds, utilities, transportation, and capital assets.
Responsibilities- Provide executive oversight of facilities operations, maintenance, grounds, utilities, custodial services, campus transportation, space management, and infrastructure-related services.
- Lead the development and implementation of short- and long-term campus master plans, infrastructure assessments, deferred maintenance plans, and capital improvement priorities.
- Develop recommendations regarding renovations, construction, deferred maintenance, building utilization, space allocation, and infrastructure improvements.
- Oversee capital projects from planning and budgeting through design, construction, completion, and post-project evaluation.
- Partner with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, governmental agencies, and other external partners on campus construction and infrastructure projects.
- Establish project timelines, milestones, budgets, performance expectations, and accountability measures.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, capital project budgets, operating expenses, and long-term financial forecasts.
- Negotiate and manage contracts and service agreements with construction companies, maintenance providers, utility providers, consultants, and other vendors.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, building codes, environmental requirements, accessibility standards, health and safety regulations, and University policies.
- Coordinate with Campus Safety and emergency management personnel regarding emergency preparedness, business continuity, severe weather, utility disruptions, and campus emergencies.
- Develop sustainability initiatives related to energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction, environmental stewardship, and responsible campus development.
- Develop systems for tracking work orders, maintenance requests, facility conditions, projects, inventory, assets, and infrastructure performance.
- Utilize data and reporting to identify trends, evaluate operational performance, prioritize investments, and make recommendations to executive leadership.
- Regularly report campus infrastructure conditions, project status, financial performance, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership and appropriate University committees.
- Support the University's enrollment, student experience, workforce, Athletics, events, and community engagement initiatives through effective campus operations.
- Develop staffing plans and organizational structures that support current and future campus infrastructure needs.
- Create and implement 30-, 60-, 90-day and annual operational plans for infrastructure priorities and departmental initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, technology integration, cost savings, and increased operational efficiency.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the President or designated executive leadership.
- Develop creative solutions to infrastructure challenges while maintaining fiscal responsibility.

Education- Bachelor's degree in facilities management, construction management, engineering, business administration, public administration, architecture, real estate, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of progressive leadership experience in facilities, infrastructure, construction, campus operations, property management, or a related field.
- Must be able to lift up to10 pounds.
