AV Lead Technician to join a growing audiovisual integration organization supporting complex commercial integration projects throughout Chandler, Arizona. The AV Lead Technician role is ideal for an experienced AV professional who can lead installation teams, interpret technical documentation, and ensure successful project delivery across multiple job sites.
Responsibilities of the AV Lead Technician:
• Lead audiovisual installation teams on large-scale commercial integration projects.
• Coordinate daily activities of technicians and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Interpret cabling schedules, riser diagrams, engineering drawings, and construction documentation.
• Oversee rack builds, device installation, cable management, and system commissioning.
• Conduct quality control inspections and ensure installations meet company and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot complex AV system issues and provide technical guidance to installation teams.
• Interface directly with project managers, customers, and construction personnel.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and job-site requirements.
• Assist with technician training and mentorship initiatives.
Qualifications of the AV Lead Technician:
• 3-5 years of experience leading large-scale audiovisual integration projects.
• Strong knowledge of AV systems, signal flow, displays, projectors, control systems, and rack installations.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and lead technicians across various job sites.
• Ability to interpret cabling schedules, riser diagrams, and construction documentation.
• Experience with installation tools, test equipment, and structured wiring practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with client-facing experience.
• Basic understanding of AV networking and IP-based systems.
• OSHA 30 Certification required.
• Industry certifications preferred, including CTS, CTS-I, Crestron, Extron, Polycom, or Biamp.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365; Smartsheet experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
Compensation for the AV Lead Technician includes:
• Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 depending on experience
