Key Responsibilities
  • Advanced Diagnosis and Troubleshooting
    • Perform comprehensive diagnostics on gasoline, diesel, hybrid, and electric powertrains using Ford proprietary tools and standard equipment.
    • Analyze diagnostic trouble codes, live data, wiring diagrams, and technical service bulletins to identify vehicle malfunctions.
    • Apply advanced testing procedures for engine, transmission, electrical, HVAC, suspension, steering, and braking systems.
  • Expert Repair and Maintenance
    • Execute complex repairs including engine overhauls, transmission rebuilds, electrical system troubleshooting, module programming, and high-voltage hybrid/EV work.
    • Perform factory-scheduled maintenance and repairs following Ford specifications and warranty guidelines.
    • Ensure accurate repairs on the first attempt to maintain customer satisfaction and reduce comebacks.
    • Conduct quality control checks and test drives to verify repair effectiveness.
  • Technical Resource and Mentorship
    • Provide guidance, training, and support to technicians, service advisors, and parts personnel on complex vehicle issues.
    • Mentor junior and A-level technicians to improve their diagnostic and repair capabilities.
    • Stay current on Ford technology, vehicle models, and repair methods through ongoing factory training.
  • Documentation and Compliance
    • Document diagnostics, repairs, parts usage, and recommended services accurately in repair orders and dealership systems.
    • Adhere to Ford warranty policies and procedures.
    • Comply with federal, state, and local regulations including safety and hazardous waste disposal standards.
