As an Automation Engineer you will have responsibilities for.
Equipment Specification Development
Create comprehensive technical specifications, including functional requirements, integration methods, and safety features.
Evaluate vendor proposals, oversee FAT/SAT testing, and manage commissioning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Integrate automation equipment with plant networks, MES, ERP, and data systems in partnership withIT.
Work withSafetyteams to ensure compliance with regulatory and operational safety standards.
Coordinate withFacilitiesto confirm infrastructure readiness for equipment deployment.
Collaborate withIndustrial Engineersto align automation projects with process optimization and lean principles.
EngageManufacturing Operationsto ensure automation supports production goals and workflows.
Project Execution & Support
Lead automation initiatives from concept through commissioning, including scope definition, timelines, and communication with stakeholders.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues post-deployment.
Provide training and maintain documentation for systems and equipment.
Desirable Skills 6 Business Process Automation
Ability to identify and support opportunities for streamlining workflows through digital tools (workflow automation, ERP/MES enhancements).
Familiarity with low-code/no-code platforms and BPA best practices.
To be considered for this role, heres what youll typically need to bring with you
Bachelors degree in Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field with five (5) years related experience.
Proven experience in industrial automation, equipment specification, and manufacturing project delivery.
Knowledge of control systems (PLC, HMI, robotics) and integration with IT systems.
Strong project management, communication, and collaboration skills.
