Direct Hire | Onsite (in Latrobe, PA)

Oxford Solutions is working with a manufacturing client seeking an Automation Engineer with strong injection molding experience. This position will support the design, installation, qualification, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automated manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the design and development of new automation systems
  • Coordinate equipment installation, testing, and qualification activities
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve existing automation equipment
  • Support production start-ups involving automated machinery
  • Identify equipment issues and implement corrective actions
  • Develop and maintain standard work procedures
  • Work closely with production, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams
  • Ensure automation projects follow manufacturing safety requirements
  • Review technical drawings and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing principles

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, automation, manufacturing, or a related field preferred
  • Candidates with more than five years of injection molding processing experience may be considered in place of a degree
  • 3-5 years of injection molding experience required
  • Experience supporting automation equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process-related equipment issues
  • Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices and standard work methods
