Essential Job Functions:- Machine tending automation system cell controller design
- CNC machine tool, robot, washer, gage/CMM, marker, etc automation equipment interfacing
- Electrical wiring, troubleshooting and various automation peripherals setup
- Program PLC/HMI (Allen-Bradley preferred), robot (Fanuc) and vision (iRvision or Cognex)
- Perform automation cell runoff at factory and customer site
- Prepare detailed design specifications and documentation
- Customer training and technical support
- Other duties assigned as necessary
Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor or equivalent degree in EE/ME/CS Engineering
- Familiar with manufacturing automation/industrial robotic system
- Strong electrical design, wiring and troubleshooting capabilities
- Proficient in PLC/HMI/Robot/Vision programming
- Proficient in mechanical assembly and electrical troubleshooting
- Familiar with major industrial protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet, etc.)
- Familiar with safety circuit and safety relay/controller configuration
- Ability to learn various new automation technology
- Strong communication skills including reading & writing technical documents
Work Environment:General office environment will be experienced. Occasionally the position will be spent in various manufacturing environments.
