Full Job Description
Winstead is seeking a 3-5 year transactional attorney to support a highly sophisticated, high-volume real estate development and construction portfolio. The associate will step into a growth position that works directly on complex, multi-state commercial projects. This role includes traditional construction transactional drafting in sophisticated commercial sectors, specifically mixed-use condominium projects, master planned communities, healthcare real estate development, hospitality/hotels, medical facility construction, higher education, and digital infrastructure/data center projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:
  • Real Estate & Construction Transactions: Prior experience with drafting and negotiating design and construction agreements, including owner/contractor agreements, owner/architect agreements, subcontracts, project management agreements, and professional service agreements.
  • Strategic Risk Allocation: Strong understanding of risk mitigation, operational insurance frameworks, and bonding considerations unique to high-value development and construction portfolios.
  • Strong academics: Candidates should have strong academic credentials.
  • Writing skills: Candidates should be proficient at complex legal drafting and client communication.
