Join the MERANI KAMARA LAW GROUP as a Full-Time Attorney specializing in litigation. This exciting opportunity is perfect for newly admitted attorneys or those with some experience ready to build their litigation careers. You'll work closely with a team that thrives on problem-solving and innovation with the ability to own cases through the full lifecycle. This role is ideal for a newly admitted attorney looking for real courtroom experience early in their career, or an attorney with up to five years of practice who wants to manage a meaningful caseload.
This is an hybrid position after 90 days with 4 days in office or in court. Compensation is competitive and depends on experience. Salary range between $90,000 to $150,000 and merit based bonus eligibility. Responsibilities:
Manage an active docket of civil litigation matters from intake through resolution
Appear regularly in courts for conferences, motions, hearings, and trials
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery demands and responses, affidavits, stipulations, proposed orders, and other litigation documents for the matters you manage
Handle motion practice and contested proceedings, including opposition and reply papers
Conduct discovery, including document demands, depositions, information subpoenas, and asset investigation
Pursue judgment recovery and post-judgment enforcement, including bank restraints, levies, executions, garnishments, and judgment domestication
Monitor bankruptcy filings affecting active matters and handle related issues such as proofs of claim, automatic stay questions, and creditor remedies
Negotiate settlements and payment arrangements with opposing parties and counsel
Communicate directly with institutional and commercial clients regarding case status, strategy, and outcomes
Work closely with paralegals and support staff to keep cases moving efficiently, with growing supervisory responsibility as you gain experience
Contribute ideas for improving case strategy, workflows, and recovery results
Requirements and SKILLs:

Comfort working in a technology-driven environment with case management systems
Professional, confident communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel

Ability to pass applicable background and reference checks
