Full Job Description
RSM is looking for an Assurance Supervisor to join our Private Equity practice. This practice is dynamic, robust and continues to expand every year. RSM serves a wide range of clients, including approximately 1,500 private equity and venture capital clients.

Key responsibilities as outlined in the job summary include executing core functions of the Supervisor role, contributing to team objectives, maintaining quality standards, and supporting client service delivery.

USA:
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited University.
  • Active CPA license or demonstrated progress toward CPA licensure in state of residence. CPA license strongly preferred.
  • 4+ years of recent assurance experience within a public accounting environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, US GAAS or other relevant regulatory requirements, with the ability to apply relevant accounting and auditing standards.
  • Experience leading portions of audit engagements from planning through completion, including reviewing workpapers, and managing workflow across multiple engagements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop staff, including coaching and providing performance feedback.
  • Proven ability to manage client communication and expectations, including escalating issues and supporting resolution throughout the engagement cycle.
  • Experience overseeing substantive testing, analytical procedures, and control testing, including documentation and evaluation of results.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively with firm personnel and clients in person, by telephone, and through electronic or written means.
  • Effective project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy and quality of work in accordance with performance expectations, firm, and client standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a professional office environment and, as required by the role, at client sites, including the ability to sit for extended periods of time and work at a computer and other standard office equipment.
  • Ability to work extended and/or non standard hours during peak periods or as necessary to meet client, project, or firm business needs.
  • Ability to maintain consistent, onsite presence during core business hours including the ability to regularly report to a firm office location and travel to client sites as required, including access to reliable transportation.

The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $77,700 - $147,400

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
