Job Responsibilities:

USA:
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • Active CPA (or equivalent certification) required.
  • 5+ years of recent assurance experience within a public accounting environment with substantial exposure to external audit engagements.
  • Strong technical proficiency with financial reporting, audit procedures, and auditing standards, including US GAAP, US GAAS, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience leading and managing audit engagements and teams, including planning, executing, and completing audits while overseeing junior and senior audit staff.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, balance competing responsibilities across clients and engagements, meet deadlines, and maintain quality in accordance with firm and client standards.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with firm personnel and clients, manage client relationships, respond to client needs, and address issues while building trust.
  • Applies sound business judgment, risk awareness, and ethical integrity to ensure audit quality, compliance, and independence, and to provide guidance to team members.
  • Ability to work effectively in a professional office environment and, as required, at client sites, including prolonged periods at a computer using standard office equipment.
  • Ability to work extended and/or non-standard hours during peak periods to meet client, project, or firm business needs.
  • Ability to maintain consistent onsite presence during core business hours, report regularly to a firm office, and travel to client sites as required, with reliable transportation.


Canada:

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $89,800 - $170,500

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
