Job Description:The Associate Vice President (AVP) of Marketing, Brand and Creative Services directs the college's integrated marketing communications program through the strategic management of a comprehensive institutional brand, long-range marketing campaigns, and the college's performance, digital, and social marketing functions. The position oversees a multidisciplinary team spanning creative services, performance and CRM marketing, and digital and social media--including audience development--to ensure the strategic development, conceptualization, creation, production, and delivery of a wide range of materials and campaigns in support of recruitment, enrollment, advancement, and the enhancement and growth of FIT's institutional image and reach.
The AVP is a member of the President's Extended Cabinet and reports directly to the CMO. The AVP works collaboratively with the PR & Communications team and departments across the college, including the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Success, the Executive Director of Continuing and Professional Studies, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Foundation leadership, and academic deans.
Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the work of the Brand and Creative Services teams including:
- Brand development
- Writing and editing
- Strategic storytelling
- Digital and print design
- Web design and development
- Advertising and marketing
- Photography and videography
- Lead and manage the Performance & CRM Marketing team, overseeing paid media strategy and buying, marketing analytics, CRM platform management, enrollment funnel optimization, A/B testing, and KPI reporting.
- Lead and manage the Digital & Social team, overseeing website strategy, SEO/AEO/GEO and emerging search practices, social media strategy and platform content.
- Lead and manage audience development initiatives that grow and diversify FIT's reach and brand awareness across Hue, FIT Newsroom, the website, and social platforms extending beyond the college's core faculty, student, alumni, staff, and parent audiences.
- Set integrated goals and KPIs across the creative, performance/CRM, and digital/social functions to ensure a unified brand voice and measurable marketing outcomes.
- Direct an internal communications program (via owned and operated editorial, digital, print and social platforms) and serve as a member of the crisis communications team.
- Provide marketing expertise and direction to various units across the college.
- Manage budget and procurement for marketing projects and external vendors when relevant, across the creative, performance/CRM, and digital/social functions.
- Oversee the development and production of all college publications.
- Extend branding to include the visual communications on campus, including signage and way-finding to ensure brand consistency.
- Represent the department on various committees and through the cultivation and management of internal and external relationships.
- Establish, interact, and maintain strong and effective working relationships with a wide variety of collaborators including administrators, staff, faculty, students, and external constituent groups and partners.

Requirements:Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible experience in creative direction, advertising, marketing and communications, publications management, web design, and strategy including at least 8 years at a management and supervisory level.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in branding and marketing of complex organizations in either corporate or higher education settings.
- Experience leading and managing highly faceted teams.
- Experience overseeing performance marketing, CRM, or digital/audience-development functions in addition to creative or brand teams.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:- Thorough knowledge of the principles and methods of planning and conducting integrated marketing communications and brand management programs.
- Excellent communication, strategic planning, and marketing abilities with an understanding of institutional image building.
- Current knowledge of digital and social media marketing, web content management systems, and multi-channel communications integration across digital and print platforms.
- Working knowledge of performance marketing and CRM disciplines including paid media, marketing analytics, A/B testing, and enrollment funnel and KPI reporting to direct a data-driven marketing function.
- Experience developing audience growth strategies across editorial, digital, and social platforms.
- Proven ability to lead and manage multi-faceted, cross-functional teams.

Salary Salary: $225,000 to $255,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Work ScheduleDays/Hours: On campus M-F, 9am-5pm, however, the demands of the work will require hours outside the normal schedule (evening/weekends) per the needs of the department.

Physical Requirements and Work EnvironmentThe working conditions for this position will be primarily in an office space. The physical requirement for this position will require frequent sitting, occasional standing, occasional walking, occasional bending and occasionally lifting up to 10 lbs.
