Position SummaryWe are seeking high-caliber pre- or post-MBA Associates to join our Boston team. As an Associate, you will play a central role across all phases of the M&A advisory lifecycle-from transaction development and positioning through execution and closure. You will work directly with Managing Directors and clients while mentoring and supervising Analysts.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Modeling & Valuation: Build and maintain detailed dynamic operating models, LBO models, DCF valuations, and comparable company/transaction analyses for software and SaaS businesses.
- Transaction Materials: Lead the creation of high-impact confidential information memoranda (CIMs), confidential teaser materials, board decks, and management presentations.
- Deal Execution & Due Diligence: Manage data rooms, coordinate due diligence processes, track buyer interaction, and support deal structuring and negotiation strategy.
- Industry & Market Research: Prepare comprehensive market positioning analyses, competitive landscapes, and sector growth studies.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and review the work of Analysts to ensure high accuracy and deal team efficiency.
Qualifications- Experience: 1-3+ years of investment banking experience (preferably tech or M&A advisory), private equity, or corporate development.
- Education: Outstanding academic record from a top-tier undergraduate or MBA program.
- Technical Proficiency: Exceptional mastery of financial modeling, corporate finance principles, and accounting.
- SaaS Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of core software metrics (e.g., ARR/MRR, net retention, Rule of 40, LTV/CAC, churn).
- Communication & Drive: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an unwavering commitment to detail, teamwork, and execution excellence.
