Full Job Description
Associate Relations Manager, Workplace Investigations, you will serve as a trusted expert in workplace investigations and organizational risk management.

The Associate Relations Center of Excellence (COE) is responsible for conducting fair, consistent, and compliant investigations into workplace concerns across the enterprise. Partnering closely with Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, Global Security, Insider Threat, and business leaders, the team helps protect ADP's culture, mitigate risk, and support a respectful and inclusive workplace.

In this role, you will lead complex and sensitive workplace investigations involving allegations of misconduct, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, ethics violations, fraud, compliance concerns, workplace conflict, and other policy-related matters. You will independently assess facts, determine findings, recommend corrective actions, and advise leaders on risk mitigation and case resolution.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day.

Workplace Investigations
  • Lead end-to-end investigations involving allegations of policy violations, misconduct, ethics concerns, compliance issues, workplace conflict, and safety matters.
  • Conduct interviews, gather and assess evidence, evaluate credibility, and determine findings.
  • Prepare clear, objective investigation reports and present findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Ensure investigations are conducted in a timely, thorough, and legally compliant manner.
  • Manage complex, high-risk, and executive-level investigations requiring significant judgment and discretion.

Investigation Advisory & Risk Management
  • Advise leaders and HR Business Partners on investigation outcomes, corrective actions, and complex workplace matters.
  • Identify organizational risks, systemic issues, and emerging trends, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Global Security, Risk, and HR teams on sensitive or high-impact matters.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity throughout all investigative processes.

Insights & Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze case data and workplace trends to identify opportunities for prevention and risk reduction.
  • Recommend improvements to policies, practices, leadership capability, and workplace culture.
  • Support training and proactive initiatives designed to strengthen leader effectiveness and foster a respectful workplace.

Experience. You have 5+ years of experience in workplace investigations, associate relations, employee relations, compliance, legal, human resources, or a related field.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex workplace investigations from intake through resolution.
  • Experience independently managing 10+ complex, concurrent investigations and multiple competing priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws, workplace regulations, and investigation best practices.
  • Expertise conducting investigative interviews, evaluating evidence, assessing credibility, documenting findings, preparing clear, objective investigation reports, and presenting findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Strong investigative, analytical, interviewing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing capabilities.
  • Demonstrated integrity, sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion.
  • You'll have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

For Additional Comfort in the Role:
  • Experience supporting large, complex, or multinational organizations.
  • Professional certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, AWI-CH, AWI-CLI, or comparable workplace investigation credentials.
  • Experience managing ethics hotline, whistleblower, or compliance-related investigations.
  • Experience using case management platforms such as HR Acuity, ServiceNow, Workday, NAVEX, EthicsPoint, or similar systems.
  • Training or certification in mediation, conflict resolution, alternative dispute resolution, or workplace restoration practices.
  • Experience leveraging data and trends to drive organizational improvements and risk reduction initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Canadian employment laws, workplace regulations, and investigation best practices.
