Pay range for this position is $42.31 - $53.65/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is a Salaried position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: Provides classroom and clinical/laboratory instruction for students in the nursing major, including preparation of content, assignments, and evaluation of student clinical and academic progress. Interacts with health team members in cooperating clinical agencies to facilitate student learning and to promote quality nursing care. Participates in the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the total educational program.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Significant progress toward an earned Doctorate in Nursing or related field is required. Must have already completed Master's Degree with a major in Nursing (MS or MSN)
Experience: At least 2 years' experience in clinical nursing as required by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.
Licensure/ Certification: RN license
Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Previous teaching experience and nursing research/scholarship.
Licensure/ Certification: Certification in population-specific focus, i.e., Family Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (if teaching in an APRN program) or if teaching in a Graduate program specialty area.
Other Skills/ Knowledge: Communication and interpersonal skills for interacting effectively with students, peers, and cooperating clinical agencies to provide an environment conducive to student learning.
