Hybrid work schedule – Calgary office

The Norton Rose Fulbright Capital Markets group in Calgary is a leading practice for complex, high-value securities and M&A mandates for local, national and global corporations. We have particular expertise in public and private M&A, debt and equity capital markets, corporate governance and general corporate and commercial advisory matters, and routinely play a role in some of Canada’s most high-profile transactions. Our Calgary office is currently seeking a mid-level securities’ associate to join this group.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, have three to five years’ experience in securities, gained in a team environment, assisting on high-value and complex domestic, cross-border and multi-jurisdictional M&A and securities mandates. The successful candidate will bring sound technical skills, strong judgment, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service in a collaborative, high-performing team.

You will be focusing on:

• Assist on significant securities transactions, including public and private M&A transactions and equity and debt offerings
• Draft and review transaction documents, prospectuses and other disclosure materials
• Conduct due diligence and support regulatory filings and other transaction execution matters

What you bring to the role:

• 3-5 years’ experience gained within a reputable practice with significant exposure to securities and M&A matters
• Excellent client service, communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational abilities
• Willingness to take initiative
• Excellent academic credentials
