A well-established boutique law firm in Key West, Florida is seeking an exceptional Associate Attorney to join its growing transactional practice. The firm represents a select group of clients in sophisticated matters, with a particular emphasis on real estate, business transactions, and other complex commercial matters.
This is an opportunity for an attorney who wants more than a traditional associate position. Our ideal candidate is intellectually curious, highly motivated, detail-oriented, and interested in developing meaningful client relationships while working closely with experienced attorneys on sophisticated matters.
THE ROLE
The Associate Attorney will work on a broad range of transactional matters, with a primary focus on:
• Commercial and residential real estate transactions
• Real estate development and financing
• Planning and Zoning
• Commercial leasing
• Title and survey matters
• Entity formation, governance, and business transactions
• Contract drafting and negotiation
• Due diligence and transaction management
• General business and commercial matters
While the practice is primarily transactional, litigation experience is a plus. An attorney with experience handling real estate, commercial, construction, or other business-related disputes will be particularly attractive, as that background provides valuable perspective in advising clients and structuring transactions.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate will have:
• 2-6 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in real estate and/or commercial transactional work
• Strong legal research, writing, drafting, and analytical skills
• Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• The ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines independently
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• A practical, business-minded approach to solving problems
• The ability to interact directly and professionally with sophisticated clients
• Florida Bar admission in good standing
Prior experience with real estate transactions is strongly preferred. Litigation experience, particularly involving real estate or commercial disputes, is a welcome additional skill set.
Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
To apply, please submit a resume and cover letter describing your relevant experience and why a boutique transactional practice in Key West is the right fit for you.
