Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Summary:

Baptist Health seeks an attorney to join its legal department as Associate General Counsel - Payor Relations. The position will provide legal services to the Payor Relations and Contracting Department, which will include: monitoring and advising on laws related to billing and reimbursement; and analyzing, negotiating, preparing, and enforcing managed care contracts (including dispute resolution). To support the system's strategic initiatives, this role will also support value-based care contracting, Accountable Care Organization ("ACO") agreements, and alternative payment models. In addition, the attorney will provide and coordinate legal services for the general support of the health system. This position reports to the Chief Legal Officer of the system and will collaborate with peers to support Baptist Health's healing ministry.

Other information:

Applicants must have a law degree from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in the State of Arkansas. Applicants must have at least five (5) years of experience in the practice of law and legal experience in health and transaction law. Managed care contracting experience is preferred, along with familiarity with value-based care reimbursement structures and ACO regulatory frameworks. A strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal and writing skills, experience drafting and negotiating agreements, the ability to manage numerous complex legal projects, and a commitment to the Baptist Health mission are essential.

Compensation to be determined commensurate with the applicant's experience and qualifications.

This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
