Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois invites applications from qualified individuals for a 100% full-time tenured Associate or Full Professor position in Marketing within the Department of Business Administration.

The successful candidate will support the academic excellence of this well-respected department. This includes a record of visible and rigorous scholarly achievement appropriate for the candidate's rank; contributing to the innovation in programs and curricula for which the department is known; delivering an exceptional experience to highly motivated students; and advancing the College's strategic priorities.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain an active and productive program of research
• Teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
• Perform service for the department.
• Provide leadership in the department and the university.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates for assistant professor should expect to have completed their doctoral degree by June 1, 2027

• Strong research portfolio
• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness
• Leadership potential commensurate with position sought

SALARY AND APPOINTMENT INFORMATION

This is a 9-month, 100%-time academic tenure-track position with the opportunity for summer appointment. The expected start date is August 16, 2027 or January 1, 2028.

The budgeted salary range for this position is $200,000-$220,000 at the Assistant Professor level or $210,000-$240,000 at the Associate Professor level, and $230,000-$280,000 at the Professor level The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including equivalent years in rank, training, and field or discipline; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs.

This position is eligible for visa sponsorship except for sponsorship of a new H1B petition that would incur the $100,000 fee.
