Position OverviewThe Associate Director of Nursing provides leadership, direction, program planning and clinical expertise to the United Health Services Nursing Departments. Facilitates the effective and efficient delivery of Nursing Services through the management of resource allocation and planning mechanisms in line management and staff capacities. In collaboration with Nursing Leadership and the Medical Directors from said units and other departments as required, directs quality improvement projects, patient care referral activity, budgeting, education, program development, strategic planning activities and marketing/networking. Develops and implements care models and programs that results in patient care outcomes exceeding established benchmarks. Implements best practices and programs to prevent hospital acquired conditions in addition to ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations.

There is more than one location associated with this position. Compensation Range:per hour, depending on experience
Education/ExperienceMinimum Required:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree
- Eight (8) years of progressively responsible relevant clinical experience or MBA/MSN with 2-3 years of progressively responsible relevant clinical experience.
- Previous management experience
- Quality management and performance improvement experience
Preferred:
- MBA or Master's Degree in a related field
License/CertificationMinimum Required:
- Current New York State Registered Nurse License
Preferred:
- Professional certification in a related nursing specialty or other related field; required within 2 years of accepting position.
- Relevant skills certification (i.e., CPR, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, Fetal Monitoring, Chemotherapy)
