Position Summary
Reporting to the Executive Director of Development, the Associate Director of Development plays an integral role in strengthening and increasing philanthropic support for Fordham University's Arts and Sciences undergraduate colleges, graduate school, and select centers (e.g., Orthodox Christian Studies Center and the Center for Jewish Studies). Grounded in the University's Jesuit mission to educate compassionate and ethical leaders, the incumbent is responsible for increasing support and participation from alumni, parents, and friends, and will proactively work to help build Fordham Arts and Sciences' large leadership/annual and small major gift prospect pipeline.

Utilizes reflective discernment to devise individualized engagement strategies for each prospect in their portfolio. Builds enduring relationships rooted in a mutual vision between donors and the University to solicit annual gifts and/or multi-year gift commitments at the $5,000+ level, with specific solicitation goals to be determined in an annual goal-setting process.
Assists with various projects, including stewardship efforts, volunteer opportunities, advisory councils, cultivation events, and campaign initiatives as needed, consistently striving for magis (the restless pursuit of excellence) in all endeavors.
Represents Fordham Arts and Sciences at on- and off-campus events, supports special fundraising initiatives, and contributes to the overall goals of the Development and University Relations (DAUR) office, collaborating closely with colleagues to align fundraising strategies and donor engagement efforts with Fordham's core values.
Develops strong relationships with Fordham Arts and Sciences faculty, administrators, and staff at the direction of the Executive Director in order to identify and promote giving opportunities that support the Arts and Sciences' strategic priorities.
