Description

The Department of Chemistry, Physics and Atmospheric Science is accepting applications for its Associate Director position.

Examples of Duties
Operational Leadership: Direct daily operations, workflows, and program staff.

Grant & Financial Oversight: Oversee federal grant lifecycles, budgets, and compliance.

Agency Reporting & Compliance: Manage federal deliverable schedules, compile project updates and submit formal annual/final reports to agencies.

Partnership Development: Foster strategic relationships across academia, government, and industry.

STEM Initiatives: Lead summer institutes, student pipelines, and mentorship programs

Conference Leadership: Organize academic workshops, technical symposia, and interagency events.

Typical Qualifications
15+ Years Leadership: Extensive experience directing complex programs and operations.

Federal Grant Management: Experience in managing major grants from federal US agencies (DoD, NSF, DOE).
