Description

Reporting to the Senior Director, Enterprise Applications, the Associate Director, G&A Applications will contribute to and execute the strategy, implementation, optimization, and support of General and Administrative (G&A) applications across Viridian Therapeutics. This role partners closely with Finance, Legal, Compliance, and HR to deliver technology solutions that align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The Associate Director will provide day-to-day leadership and functional oversight for the G&A application portfolio, balancing operational support with long-term planning to ensure technology capabilities align with business priorities and organizational goals.

This role is based in our Waltham, MA headquarters. Our office-based employees are required to work in the office three (3) days a week.

Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
  • Partner with Finance, HR, Legal, Compliance, and other business stakeholders to understand business needs, prioritize initiatives, and deliver scalable technology solutions that drive operational efficiency and business value
  • Contribute to and execute the strategy, implementation, optimization, and ongoing management of the G&A application portfolio, ensuring business systems are secure, scalable, integrated, and aligned with organizational objectives
  • Serve as the technical lead and application owner for G&A systems, providing hands-on leadership in configuration, troubleshooting, enhancements, integrations, and solution design while acting as the primary escalation point for critical issues to ensure system stability and business continuity
  • Lead cross-functional technology initiatives from concept through deployment, ensuring effective planning, resource coordination, risk management, stakeholder communication, and successful delivery of project objectives
  • Contribute to and maintain application roadmaps and solution designs for G&A systems ensuring alignment with business strategies and scalability
  • Manage vendor relationships and support selection, contracting, performance management, and service delivery to ensure quality outcomes, maximize value, and mitigate risk


Requirements

  • Requires 10+ years of progressive experience supporting, implementing, and leading enterprise applications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field; Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of G&A business processes and enterprise applications supporting Finance, HR, Legal, Compliance, Procurement, and related functions
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise SaaS applications such as NetSuite, Agiloft, ADP Workforce Now, Concur, and related business platforms is preferred
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale application implementations, enhancements, integrations, and digital transformation initiatives in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels to achieve strategic business objectives
  • Experience in regulated life sciences environments, including GxP, SOX, 21 CFR Part 11, data integrity, privacy, validation, audit readiness, and change management
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, prioritize competing demands, and deliver results in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technology topics into clear business recommendations
  • Strong commitment to ethical standards
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • The salary range for this position is commensurate with experience
