Position Overview

The Associate Director, Case Insights, leads complex client engagements that use artificial intelligence, advanced analytics and tailored workflows to provide litigation intelligence. Using AI forward methods to perform investigations and case analysis. The Associate Director serves as a senior client-facing advisor, translating business and legal objectives into practical and efficient solutions and actionable insights.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical judgment. The Associate Director applies critical thinking to ambiguous problems, directs the responsible use of generative AI and other technologies, and designs effective prompting strategies to improve research, analysis, and client deliverables. The Associate Director works across Case Insights and with Sales, Client Services, Operations, Managed Review, Advanced Technologies, and Information Technology, while overseeing team members as needed to balance workloads, maintain quality, and meet deadlines across multiple concurrent matters.

Primary Responsibilities
• Serve as a senior client-facing advisor, leading discovery conversations to understand client objectives, constraints, risk tolerance, and desired outcomes.
• Scope and lead complex Case Insights engagements from solution design through delivery, assigning work and coordinating handoffs across project teams.
• Design and oversee solutions that combine artificial intelligence, generative AI, advanced analytics, search terms, and tailored workflows.
• Develop, test, refine, and document prompting strategies for research, analysis, synthesis, quality control, and client deliverables.
• Apply critical thinking, issue spotting, and sound professional judgment to ambiguous or high-impact client problems.
• Evaluate AI-assisted outputs for accuracy, relevance, context, consistency, and appropriate human oversight before use in client work.
• Validate workflows and results for quality, repeatability, and defensibility, and clearly explain the approach to clients and internal stakeholders; create SOP to support as needed.
• Lead client meetings, executive briefings, solution demonstrations, findings presentations, and follow-up communications.
• Partner with Sales on client presentations, opportunity development, solution positioning, and statements of work as needed.
• Oversee the preparation and delivery of findings reports and other client work product, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with client goals.
• Mentor, train, and provide day-to-day guidance to Analysts, Associate Consultants, Consultants, and Senior Consultants, including on AI literacy, prompting, critical thinking, and client communication.
• Coordinate with Case Insights and Advanced Technologies leaders to develop best practices, reusable prompting patterns, quality standards, and documented processes.
• Develop and share subject matter expertise through speaking engagements, panels, publications, internal training, and client education.
• Track project outcomes, client value, successes, lessons learned, and goals, and report regularly to leadership.
• Demonstrate strong technical proficiency while managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines concurrently.

Required and Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree such as JD, MBA, MS, or MA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of client services experience in an eDiscovery, legal technology, investigations, litigation support, or related consulting capacity.
• Demonstrated experience leading client-facing engagements and communicating with legal, technical, and business stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of artificial intelligence and generative AI applications in research, analysis, eDiscovery, investigations, or litigation workflows.
• Hands-on experience developing and refining prompts, evaluating AI-generated outputs, and applying appropriate quality-control and human-review practices.
• Exceptional critical thinking, issue spotting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with document analysis platforms and analytics tools used to reduce, prioritize, search, and organize data; relevant certifications preferred.
• Ability to synthesize complex technical and substantive information into clear, practical explanations and recommendations.
• Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to scope work, direct teams, manage deadlines, and deliver high-quality results across multiple concurrent matters.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Commitment to responsive client service and willingness to go above and beyond client expectations.
• Preferred: advanced education or experience related to AI, data science, prompt engineering, Python, SQL, or legal technology innovation.

The Compensation range for this role is $140,000.00 to $160,000.00 USD annually and may be eligible for an annual bonus.
