At Compass International Holdings You Will:- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of routine and mission-critical customer contracts (including agent independent contractor agreements and non-disclosure agreements) that support and enable our business operations
- Interpret contractual terms and identify associated risks to relevant business stakeholders
- Collaborate with various business teams at Compass (including sales, sales leadership, regional leadership, growth, finance, and product and engineering) -- advising on legal issues, approval processes, Compass policies and procedures, and business strategy in a business-friendly manner
- Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes (including automation efforts), with an emphasis on efficiency and scalability
- Participate in the maintenance of various contracts to ensure compliance with Compass policies and risk tolerance
- Provide first line of defense in dispute resolution
What We Look For:- Strong academic credentials including a JD and membership in good standing in at least one state bar (NY bar a plus)
- 2+ years of top-tier law firm and/or in-house experience with a focus on corporate matters
- Background in contract drafting and negotiation
- Confidence operating in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with superior organizational skills
- A creative thinker with strong problem solving skills and the ability to stay calm, work independently, and effectively manage multiple deliverables with time-sensitive deadlines
- A team player with low ego who can effectively work with other attorneys and colleagues
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and an ability to clearly and simply explain complex ideas
- Familiarity and comfort in utilizing AI
Compensation:The base pay range for this position is $150,000-$170,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits. Base pay is based on market location. Minimum wage for the position will always be met.
