The Associate Broker (Marine Cargo Broker Trainee) supports a team of senior brokers by assisting with organization, daily operations, communication with clients and insurance markets, document creation for use with clients and insurance markets, assistance with compliance, systems data entry, data analysis and other support tasks as required. It also requires that the chose candidate maintain a book of smaller accounts that they will directly broke with the insurance markets.

The Role

Performance Objectives:
  • Assists the team to provide day-to-day servicing of larger, complex accounts and direct broking/placement service on smaller accounts, duties include but are not limited to:
    • Issuance of policies and endorsements
    • Assist in formulating submissions for insurance carriers
    • Assist with quote comparative spreadsheets
    • Issuance of compliance documentation
    • Assist and coordinate responses to RFP's
    • Organize internal, prospect and client meetings
    • Support invoicing of Cargo accounts
    • Follow up on invoicing and accounting inquiries
    • Maintain updated account list
    • Review and manage policy expiration list.
  • Learn and utilize WTW software and systems - ECLIPSE, RADAR
  • Add/renew policy record in ECLIPSE; upload required documentation throughout placement
  • Maintain client and prospect lists within CRM in large market, middle market and industry focus areas


Qualifications

  • High school diploma required. College degree preferred
  • 1-2 years broking experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Obtain a broker's license in the first 3 months of employment, if a broker's license is not currently held.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation.

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 USD per year.

This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
