Segal McCambridge, a nationally recognized litigation firm, is seeking a motivated
Associate Attorney with
2+ years of asbestos defense or toxic tort litigation experience to join our
New York City office. This is an outstanding opportunity for a talented litigator to work on complex matters, gain hands-on courtroom experience, and grow within a dynamic, trial-focused firm recognized for excellence nationwide.
What You'll DoAs part of our
New York Asbestos Defense team, you will manage a diverse caseload involving:
- Asbestos and toxic tort defense
- Product liability and premises exposure claims
Responsibilities include:- Drafting pleadings, discovery, and dispositive motions
- Conducting and defending depositions of fact and expert witnesses
- Managing discovery and developing case strategy
- Attending court conferences, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations
- Communicating directly with clients, insurers, and opposing counsel
- Assisting with trial preparation and participating in trial as needed
This position provides the opportunity to gain
substantial hands-on experience and
mentorship from experienced trial attorneys in a supportive, collaborative environment.
What We're Looking For- Licensed to practice law in New York (required)
- 2+ years of experience in asbestos defense, toxic tort, or related litigation
- Licenses in Connecticut, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania are highly desirable
- Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Proven ability to handle motion practice, depositions, and client communications independently
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive, client-focused approach
