Full Job Description
Kirton McConkie, a large Salt Lake City law firm, seeks an exempt organizations tax associate with 2-5 years of relevant law firm experience to join its Tax practice group. This position will focus primarily on federal tax matters for nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations.

Candidates should have experience advising nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations on federal tax matters, including matters involving tax exempt status, unrelated business income, public charity and private foundation rules, governance, and compliance. Experience with corporate and partnership taxation, state and local taxation, international tax, or state nonprofit laws and regulations is also valuable. An LL.M. in taxation is helpful but not required. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials, demonstrate a commitment to ethics, be highly motivated and hard-working, and be able to work with minimal supervision. Candidates must be a member of the Utah Bar or be willing to become a member of the Utah Bar. If not currently a member of the Utah Bar, applicants must be a member of the Bar of another U.S. state.
