RESPONSIBILITIES
Epstein Becker Green is seeking a managed care associate to join its Health Care & Life Sciences practice in the firm's New York office.
The associate responsibilities are as follow:
Provide day-to-day legal advice and counsel to health plans (including Medicaid managed care organizations, managed long term care (MLTC) plans, and health and recovery plans (HARPs)), independent practice associations (IPAs), providers, payors, and vendors on a broad range of managed care matters;
Advise on federal, New York, and New Jersey regulatory compliance, including health maintenance organization licensure and oversight under Article 44 of the New York Public Health Law by the New York State Department of Health and under the New Jersey Health Maintenance Organization Act (N.J.S.A. 26:2J-1 et seq.) by the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance, as well as Medicaid managed care requirements administered by the New York State Department of Health, NJ FamilyCare through the New Jersey Department of Human Services' Division of Medical Assistance and Health Services (DMAHS), and the federal Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS);
Draft and negotiate provider network participation, downstream, and ancillary services agreements;
Counsel clients on coverage, reimbursement, value-based care, and risk-sharing arrangements;
Advise accountable care organizations (ACOs) participating in the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP), Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) models, and other CMMI demonstration programs; and
Support Medicare Advantage and dual eligible special needs plan (D-SNP) clients on regulatory, compliance, and transactional matters.
Qualifications
The compensation range for this position is $220,000 - $260,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained. Market and Firm factors are also considered. In addition to the base salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
