Hall Booth Smith, P.C. (HBS) is seeking an
Associate Attorney to join its Employment and General Liability litigation teams. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys looking to expand their practice while working with an experienced and collaborative team in a broad range of employment and general liability matters.
The ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of litigation experience with a focus on employment law and/or general liability matters. Candidates must be active members in good standing of the
North Carolina Bar.
Responsibilities: - Represent and defend clients in hearings, trials, and depositions
- Consult and counsel clients, effectively communicate on cases, providing consistent updates and comprehensive legal advice
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, prepare legal documents, and prepare and respond to discovery
- Collaborate closely with partners, associates, and other team members in building and executing successful defense strategies
Qualifications:- At least 3 years of litigation and employment law experience
- Experience with employment litigation and advising employers preferred
- Active membership in good standing with the North Carolina Bar in good standing
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute pre-trial strategy, exercise sound judgment, and think creatively
- Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment
Compensation:Salary starts at
$135,000, commensurate with experience, plus two bonus structures and a comprehensive benefits package.
