Baird Holm is seeking at add an
Associate attorney to our Energy and Renewable Energy practice area which is a part of our Real Estate section.
This position can be located in our Omaha, NE or Lincoln, NE offices. The candidate must have all of the following experience and skills:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited law school
- Strong academic history
- Active admission in good standing with the Nebraska bar or ability to obtain the same
- Strong writing, analytical, organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Attention to detail and robust work ethic
- Commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork, along with ability to work independently on various projects
- This position requires up to 30% travel, including occassional overnight stays for hearings and client meetings.
- Ability to start working by or before September 2026.
The ideal candidate desires a legal practice that emcompasses all of the following areas:
- Understanding of energy, corporate, finance, natural resources and environmental, construction, or tax credits
- Familiarity with conducting due diligence, drafting transactional documents, and handling closings
- Prior experience with litigation, permitting, land use, and zoning
